23 year old skateboarder Jacob Isom was at Amarillo's Sam Houston Park when he found out that Repent Amarillo's David Grisham was about to set fire to a copy of the Quran in an attempt to copy "Pastor" Terry Jones. Hundreds of counter demonstrators had turned out to protest this act but it was Jacob who skateboarded up behind Grisham and deftly yanked the book from his hands just after Grisham had doused it with lighter fluid.
As he darted away, he yelled "Dude, you HAVE no Quran" and he immediately took off and brought the rescued text to a member of the Islamic Association of Amarillo.
Isom, who happens to be an atheist, still believed it was wrong to "start holy wars".
Isom might be an atheist, but his actions show that he possesses a MIGHTY SPIRIT and rock solid morals.
“I believe in freedom for everyone and not to mess with everybody’s beliefs,” the atheist told a newspaper. “I don’t believe in the Quran. I believe you shouldn’t burn it in front of people that do.”

Ratusan demonstran telah memprotes aksi ini, namun Jacob lah yang ber-skateboard dibelakang Grisham dan dengan cekatan menarik Quran dari tangannya, persis setelah Grisham menyiramkan cairan pembakar.
Ketika dia melesat pergi, ia berteriak "Dude, Anda tidak MEMILIKI Quran" dan dia langsung pergi dan membawa Quran untuk diselamatkan oleh seorang anggota Asosiasi Islam Amarillo.
Isom, yang kebetulan atheis, masih percaya bahwa ini adalah hal yg salah untuk "memulai perang suci". Isom mungkin atheis, tetapi tindakannya menunjukkan bahwa ia memiliki JIWA YANG BESAR dan moral yang kuat.
“Saya percaya pada kebebasan untuk semua orang dan tidak menyinggung kepercayaan orang lain", ujar atheis ini kepada sebuah koran. "Saya tidak percaya pada Quran. Namun menurut saya seseorang tidak seharusnya membakar Quran didepan orang yang percaya (pada Quran)”
